Default Warranty work on shift dog

I have a 2004 honda cbr with 15,000 miles on it and this weekend it keeps jumping out of second gear into neutral. I still have a warranty on the bike and was wondering is that covered. I dont want to take it in and then its not covered and have to pay out the butt to the stealership. What is my best bet to do? My friend said that it is in the transmission.

1st off the dealership has to re-create the problem, so they have to ride your bike and have that happen to them. Does it happen often enough for a test ride of a couple miles to find it? 2nd is has to be a non wear item causing the problem, like the clutch being bad or the clutch cable not adjusted correctly. If its inside the tranny itself on a hard part then yes it should be coverd.
