No lack of power that I can notice, but occasionally it will get hesitant with the throttle and flash an FI light. I really don't know. I pulled off the air box today and noticed the #1 spark plug was loose. I tightened it and put it all back together but the tick continues. I'm pretty sure it's a valve because it smells like exhaust around the block where the camera is. Thanks for all the help and suggestions, I just need to get some time to check the valves.

 

doesn't sound like CCT, more like valves. does it go away or get louder under load?

 

It gets faster with the rpms but not louder. The sound of the motor while riding overtakes the tick.

 

12,300 miles. The seller thought it was the sound of the injectors but I'm certain its not that. My buddy has the same bike and his does not make ticks like that.
