Default Undertail Kit Lock & Various Other Issues

Ok so when my undertail kit went on, I seem to be missing the piece that holds the cable (that releases the seat) in place.. Most of the time it will stay where it needs to be, but sometimes it slides down out of there.

Also, in the stock plastic, there is a little slot a clip slides into to keep the lock tumbler in place... SO I do not have a lot.. I just leave the cable stick out of the hole and pull it to release my seat...

Since I'm having issues with wires snapping on my ECU... ONE that goes to the fuel injection... (was soldered, but apparently didn't hold.) I just leave the front seat unbolted... Sucks if I wanna stand up and stretch my legs for a second.. Have to worry about my seat flying off.

Also had one night my wallet was in the trunk and that cable slipped down so I could not release my trunk. (At that time my front seat was bolted down.) So I had no way to pay for gas... Had to call my mom in the wee hours of the morning to bring me some money cause I was on reserve. Was glad I got back to town and she was awake.

I am confused as to what you're asking, lol. If you bought an undertail kit you transfer over the locking mechanism as well as the retaining clip that holds the lock assembly to the 'body'.

As a similar question: How do you get the retaining clip off of the original fender?
