How to make tank, camera mount??
Does anybody have plans on how to make a camera mount that goes on the tank?
I was thinkin about using a piece of cardboard for the part that actually touches the tank and get some longer bolts but how should the rest of it look? Anybody got pictures or something I can look at?
Anybody else done this themselves. Id like to see some custom work

I never have thought of making one myself, I guess because they are so cheap to buy I didn't think it was worth it.
Here's one on ebay that is currently at $10.50 plus shipping:

You can find them all day long for under $50

thirdgenlxi do you remember the user name for the mount that you got? I like the look of that and do you have any clips of it? I just want to see if the vibrations are that bad. Thanks in advance

Sorry I don't remember the sellers ID, and ebay only lets me go back 60 days for bidding history, so I can't say who. I bought that mount almost a year ago. I also have another camera mount that works real good that I actually like a little better. It has 3 suction cups, and I thought it would vibrate but suprisingliy it's solid as a rock! It's also fully adjustable both front and back, so you can tilt it whichever way you want. The fixed one like I posted above is super sturdy and works fantastic but you can't see any of the gauges. The suction cup one I can aim it down a little to see the gauges and still see forward... it's a little more expensive though, but still available on ebay. Either one though will work great... the fixed one definitely gives more straight ahead viewing for the camera.
Thanks alot, thats exactly what I was looking for. Now all I need to do is find a mount like that one. I don't really like the ones that they have on ebay now that look really cheap. Yours looks nice and beefy and it takes some really good footage. Thanks again

I got a bullet cam and they send you a few stlyes of helmet mounts but no tank mount. Their customer service sucks *** btw! I made my own mount and it works great, I know it doesnt hold a camcorder that the thread was about but if you have a camcorder that has alternative inputs use a camera like bullet cam, it works any where on the bike. I got a suction cup, the kind you finger pump, I used a zip tie to hold the bullet cam to the suction frame and now I can put it any where on my bike or helmet. It works great. I bought the top of the line bullet camera so the picture is the same as a camcorder( I use the cannon zr90) I dont know about the lower models. Also I saw that Ritz camera was selling helmet cams that have USB or fire wire to your pc, they were going for around 48 bucks on sale. I think they were 512 mbs. I dont know about picture quaility but you can put them any where on your bike without a camcorder or tank mount. Just an idea.
