I use the stop switch when the fan is still running and turn the key off once it is done.
Why would you wait for the fan to stop when the motor isn't running? Not like it's cooling the engine at all... seems like a good way to drain the battery.

ORIGINAL: Tahoe SC
i put the stand down while in gear, then kill switch, then key, then i pull off the seat, remove the battery and take it with me...and the key too.
why? cause i'm baller...
LMAO. That's a pretty good sequence there Tahoe - I'll use that tonight when I go to the store. But I'll also remove all the fuses in case someone else has a spare battery and key for my bike and tries to start it up. Because they'll never think to themselves "Man I gotta remember to bring fuses to steal that F4i."

Damn tha kinda sounded like a "Deep Thoughts by Jack Handey" didn't it? What a bunch of non-sense [&:]

Anyways - I only use the key. Don't think I have ever used the kill switch. And the only time I use the kickstand method is when I've got my head up my **** and forget that it kills the engine.

Sometimes i use the switch, sometimes i use the stand.

I think the switch was something that i picked up in MSF class? i remember them having us kill the engines with the switches.

I dont know why anyone would argue about this. Just shut the bike off anyway that you feel is easiest at whatever time.

If im rolling up to some people i will kill the bike before I come to a stop with EITHER the key or the switch.

It would be pretty funny if I killed the bike by putting the kickstand down and trying to step off while i was rolling.
