I recently acquired an absolutely immaculate 2004 F4i with less than 7,000 miles, bone stock and not missing a single thing. However, my plan is to do a few mods, starting with replacing the front turn signals. I have no desire to cut or splice my own turn signal wires as I want to keep them unmolested for the future and was looking to buy the connector required and solder/heatshrink them onto the TST flush mount signals I just bought. I'm just a bit confused as to what connectors I will need to purchase. I've watched multiple videos, looked at part diagrams and have looked at OEM replacements on ebay and I can't seem to figure out whether or not there are actually two connectors for each signal I'd need in order to achieve my goal. From my understanding, there are three wires. One for running lights, one for the blinking and one for ground.
In this example here, it's got the ground connector and the other for running/blinking.
In the parts diagram, there is only one connector.
This is the type of wire harness I've been able to find on ebay. I'm assuming on the TST lights I purchased, the green wire on this goes to black on my turn signal, the red goes to the yellow wire on the signal. I guess my question boils down to whether the ground and lights wires on my '04 wire harness are two separate connectors or just one, like in the photo above. Also, if anyone has any other advice on how to go about swapping my turn signals without damaging either my OEM signals or the bike's wire harness, let me know. Thanks in advance for reading, I appreciate it!
