Default Tool for stripped bleeder screw

Well I guess somebody tightened the bleeder screw a little too tight cause I rounded it off trying to get it off the other day. Anyone have a tool of choice to get it off?

+1 on vise grips. If it breaks you'll have to get it out and put another one in. Use the closed part of the wrench btw to loosen up a bleeder.

Part like that should use a closed wrench. Better distribution of torque. But it's hard brass and shouldn't be easy to destroy. Hope you get it off He-Man.

If you havnt already, if you take off the caliper you can heat the fitting up a little bit. It will come out with no problem with a bit of heat, and that is allot easier than taking the time to go to the store for an easy out.

Just use the vise grips as mentioned above works every time.

Well if you want, in a couple of days I'll have a set of front calipers available. They have speedbleeders in them. Not sure if I'm putting the OEMs back in or not.

Like everyone mentioned, the vise-grip works best for the last chance to get them out. My only addition is that you should first try to stress the fitting by adding pressure as if you were tightining up the bleeder and then work back and forth (tightening and loostening) to try and break it free. That works every time for me, and it's best to do that with a good one and a close end wrench to prevent things like this. Those lil bastards alway give a headache
