I have waited till spring for the oil change in mine and have had no problems.

 

Guess at the end of the day it really doesnt matter one way or the other? Most prob prefer the idea of fresh oil before storage though? manual states to change before AND after if storing for more than 4 months? huh?

 

its also getting kind of cold in my part of the woods...i was looking at a brist 86 degrees yesterday...damn winters...lol

 

66 and sunny today in Maine, i was a bit hot with my leathers/joe rocket mesh pants and cortech summer gloves. Im gonna get some stands, pull battery, fill tank, fuel stabilizer, and wash. Hopefully I can ride her until November. It has only been too cold one morning, 20 degrees and summer gloves on a half hour ride, I thought my hands were gonna fall off.

 

Its actually been awsome here, went for a ride yesterday 20C perfect Id say by Nov 1st ill have to put her away RE the oil ill replace now vs in the spring, heard if you leave it in you risk oil breaking down ie "acid" of some sort. Plus id prefer in the spring to just put fairing on battery in and GO!!
