Default Been trying for 20 minutes to reattach this to my bike (pic)

[align=left]Flushed the radiator. Pulled the rubber air nozzle out. I was trying to just move it out of the way when the whole thing just came off. This normal? It looked like there was some sort of glue keeping it in place. Pain in the ***! You can see the gaping hole leading into the airbox...

Same thing here on my 06...looks like some glue...
i did putthe rubber air nozzle back in the airbox without any kind of glue, and 'been a month without a problem...
but IMO i think the glue is for not letting the air sucked in, except only thru the air nozzles.

Nah, Didn't glue it. it kinda sorta snapped it in place after a lot of profanity words were used.

They are a bitch to get back in there but mine went in after repeated attempts and the help of a nice wide blade screwdriver. Been about 2000 miles since then with no problems. I almost think the stuff on them that looks like glue is as much used to lube/slide them into place at the factory and then helps seal after it dries.

yeah that's what i did: used a screwdriver to put it back on. I had my gas tank off ready to take out the whole airbox, but then i realized how big of a PITA it would be to do all that for something stupid like this.
