ORIGINAL: woogie

Lots of dealerships/bike shops just have them laying around after people upgrade their exhausts. I had one offer me a stock can for free (just come get it) because that way they don't have to dispose of it.

If not free, they have to be cheap.
ima have to check that out!

To answer your question I've rode my bike for 3 weeks with the pipe when mine fell off =P it's fine as long as your not wheeling down the freeway it just runs rich as hell which isint bad.

Just remember it's 10x louder then the lowist exhaust you have ever heard... i set off car alarms everwhere i went.

Dude, I have a stock pipe with about 2 weeks of use on it, no scratches, it's perfect. You can have it, just pay for shipping from Atlanta. Pipe is for an '05.

actually i was talking to a motorcycle tech and he said that by removing the canister it actually doesnt pose any threat to the bikes motor. Sinse our bikes headers run off a 4-1 system the header basically is all the back pressure you need. But he recommended that you should still ride with a can, because the cops will hit you from miles away. So if you want to ride around with it off then you will be fine, just keep your RPM's low, and your pant leg away from the midpipe exit, cause the exhaust coming out is rediculously hot.

Depends on the state he is in. GA has no law pertaining to decibels. But I ran the bike int he driveway without the can and it was not fun. It was insanely loud when you revved it up ad it sounded like crap.
