Thinkin about selling
Hey, lately I've been thinking about selling my bike because I don't feel like paying for it for the next.. what seems like forever lol.. And I think I've had my fun for my first bike for the past 10 months now (wow that was fast lol).
Anyway, I have a lein on the bike and I've never sold a vehicle before, and was wondering if there was anything special I had to go through to sell it?
Thanks in advance,
Darren
Hmm but I don't want to get rid of my Bumble Bee... =[

selling a vehicle/bike with a lien sucks, you need to find someone that trusts you, and the best bet is hoping the local bank holds the title there. basically you have to take the guys money, pay it off, and then get the title. the hard part is getting someone to give you the money without you handing them the title immediately. kind of a catch 22. however, if the local bank holds the title, you and the buyer can take a walk to the bank, he hands them the money, you get the title and immediately sign it over to him.
Interesting, yeah I was wondering how that would work. lol. The trickier part is the DMV sent me the title, with no leinholder on it... even after I sent the bank I got the loan through the lein form or whatever special thing they called it...
lol...
lol...
well if you have a clear title with no lien, that might make things easier. but if you sent it to the bank then you back to what i said b4. its definetly not an eay thing to do. good luck man.
The kid I bought my bike from had payments to still make. I went with him with the cash for the bike...then to his bank to pay it off and he then handed me the title...done deal. Your local DMV website will have a "bill of sale" you can print and fill out.
