Default temperature question

I got another question that I am not sure about.

I want to know what temperature the engine should be in during an idle, after a good warm up.

I am also at Indiana, so it is very chilly right now.

I want to know this so I can make sure my bike is overheating or not. Please help me out!!! THANKS~~~~

Well the F4i's usually run alittle hotter than other bikes, on some days sitting in traffic i'll see it go up to 227. thats when the fan should kick on. its probably ok for it to go alittle past that number but other than that you'll be fine. if it gets close to 250 then thats when you should start to worry. But sinse you live in Indiana, the bike wont get as hot cause there is colder air. I live in chicago so i know what you mean.

you can adjust the fan start temp oits very hard though. But when I ride I see 173 to 185 depending on the temp and season. When I idle it depends how long I sit for. My fan used to kick on at 226 now I have it set to kick on at 219. If i stop for a sec no I dont get that hot, if im at a long light then yeah.

I live in Michigan, and over the last few weeks it has been cold here as well. While riding the temp gets to 180, but at long red-lights i can see 220. I did get stopped by construction one day, and sat for a long time, i seen 229, then that fan kicked on and I had nothing to worry about, and that was on a 60 degree day.
