Glad to be here... just picked up my brand new 600f today and am absolutely loving it - just a question about the temperature reading though... What is the normal running temperature for this bike (approx)? When I'm on a good straight run it's about 75-80 but if I'm stuck in traffic for a bit it does creep up to the 100 mark. It does come down pretty quickly though when I get on a straight run. It says in the manual that 122 is when the warning will come on - so I guess my question is, does my temperature reading sound normal? I'm not used to these big bikes... just traded in my CBR125.

Sorry - guys... guess I should have done a bit of a search first - from other posts on here it seems that is pretty normal. I'm just too excited about the new bike I guess...

It's ok...normal it should be in the high 100s like 165 -180. 225 the bike is hot!

your referring to your temps in celcius, cause 225 would be outright impossible. mine tops out 111 to give you some idea, but get use to 108 while in traffic, cause thats pretty much a given. glad to see that you already got some good info from the site.
