Default Taking wheels off

How hard is it to take your wheels off. I wanna either polish my lip or get them chromed over the winter and if I get them chromed I can save by having the wheels in hand. It doesnt seem like it would be hard to get them off I would be worried by getting them centered going back on.

****s cake. just get the wheels in the air (front and rear stands make this soooooo much easier) take off the calipers, then just loosen up the nut on the axle (for the rear); for the front just take out the bolt on the side, then get a rubber mallet and hit it thru. you should be able to just pull it out once you get it started.

**keep track of where the spacers and **** go before you start taking it apart**

pulling the wheels is really a no-brainer once you do it a few times.

hope this helps

If you are going to do any kind of this work get a service manual and a torque wrench. One thing you don't want to screw with is hodge-podging your way through removing/installing your wheels. The service manual will walk you through the entire process.
