Default Tacho Melting...

So one day I left work and noticed a rather large spot on the tach that was definitely not there when I parked it in the lot that morning. After doing some thinking (originally I thought one of my co-workers was F*&CKing with my tach) i realized that this happened not a week after buying an after market windscreen. I did a little bit of research and duh found out that the sun was destroying the tach via the new windscreen.

It has been a relentless winter up here in Canada so I took a piece of thin stainless steel and started playing around to make some kind of face plate for the tach. its not the prettiest so go easy but it fits under the pass. compartment not to bad for travel...

What do you guys think? Overkill?

That looks good. Kind of like those "Remove before flight" tags, but with more attitude lol

Hey thanks, yea actually a "remove before flight" sticker would have been good too. The wife doesn't appreciate the sticker on there now too much lol.

I need people at work to respect it and not screw around on it ... bunch of idiots i work with (hydro lineman)...
