Default Suspension setting help

Got back from a good ride a while ago, 6 of us... Anyhow... when going into corners hard or bumps on decel, the bike is a little floaty, seems the dampening needs to be dialed up a bit...

The bike is stock, 06 F4i, I am about 200 pounds...

Any ideas on a decent setting to try out front and rear?

I ride the bike pretty hard and wheelie frequently as well.

Thanks in advance.

did you adjust the preload for your weight? i'd look into getting stiffer springs i fyou're really worried about how the bike handles.

I'm also 200 lbs.. 06 f4i. These will get you close till you can get it set up by a pro.

Front Pre-load = 3.5 lines showing
Rear Pre-load = 5 or 6 I prefer 6
All Damping front and rear = 1/2 turn out from full stiff (go all the way till it seats then back off 1/2 turn)

Hound....

Thanks, That is exactly what I was hoping for....

BTW How did you go about your split seat conversion, parts sources, costs, etc... I may be doing one soon.

Lots of research and money =) Tons of threads around here.

On your settings.. If it feels to harsh going over bumps try reducing each a .25 turn at a time. I would start with the compression damping then rebound.

For me anymore then .75 out on any one of the damping especially the rear and it starts feeling vague and wallowy.

Anyway goodluck.
