Speedometer accuracy.

Speedometer accuracy.
I think this is a problem with F4i's and hope this subject hasnt been beat to death. What are your estimates on actual speed when the bike shows 30, 40, 60, 70? No, I dont need anything for above 140.
When going past one of those digital speed things they have in school zones, I notice, the readout says Im doing 25, my speedo says Im doing about 30. Thanks
ps If no one responds, Ill have to blow by that readout at 70.

RE: Speedometer accuracy.
On average, the speedos are off about 5 to 6%. It's different from every bike, plus wear and tear on the tires and any gearing change. If I remember correctly, my 600RR was showing about 76 to 78 when I was doing 70. I used 70 as the base to 0 out my speedo healer because it's the half way point from what I'll ever do. Plus, 70 is the normal top speed limit where I'm at.

5-6% off from the factory at least. I also did the -1/+2 gearing, which realy threw things off. I got a speedohealer and recalibrated things, and I have it to within a couple MPH of actual speed now. With -1/+2 gearing your top speed is about 140mph and that is what the bike reads now.
