Spark Plug Gap
#12
gotta revive this post, im finishing up all my winter projects on the bike, got the cctl done, air filter, and got to the spark plugs last night and had a question. i couldnt find what the gap is supposed to be in the manual, i just see what ppl are saying online about .8mm-.9mm ; i did see in the manual where it says the 1.0mm feeler shouldnt be able to fit in the gap, and also most ppl are saying they didnt adjust the gap.
question is, the new plugs gaps are all bigger than the 1.0mm feeler gauge, what is the proper way to adjust them without damaging the plug? what should i adjust them to?

yea i have the genuine tool kit... and the genuine tool kit feeler gauge is 1.0mm... and all the manual says is that the feeler gauge shouldnt be able to fit in the plug gap. with all my plugs, it can, so i was wondering if there was any official info on what they should actually be. i see most ppl say .8 to .9 mm, just wondering where that came from...
and a few ppl in this thread said they adjusted them the correct way, i didnt know if that was different than the standard way you do plugs, since these are iridium, etc. just wanted to make sure i didnt damage them by adjusting wrong, or letting the feeler touch the plug tip
