Welp.. Thanks to the lovely Alaskan drivers (I should also note that it was a woman... ehemmm....)

I was in a Hit and Run. Bike was hit at about 35mph from the right side and I laid it down onto the left side. I ended up more ontop of the bike sliding down the road. Somehow ended up on my feet running after it before it slide into the grass. She did not stop.

But luckily I had some small sliders on that took the brunt of the force.

Dented and scraped the paint off the clutch side of the tank.

Scraped the coating off the clutch cable, radiator hose, and powdercoating off the frame (which is what upsets me most.)

Bent the throttle side clip on. (I rode it home like this, then bent it back as best I could.)

Ordered a new rear seat for the bike, since the old one was broken due to the accident.

Riding season finally opened up for military riders so I joined up with Alaska Superbikes again to start off the season right. (Note: My bike is not in all of these pics, as I did not make every run. Just sharing some pics)

Loving the new Continentals. The ContiMotions are much better than their old tire that I had on it.

At the top of the mountain at Hatchers Pass. The Fuel Pump quit working. Then I found this mess from the previous owner. MASKING TAPE... You've got to be kidding me. Did a quick fix and rode it back the 70 miles or so, and went through every wire on the bike.

Then I noticed this on one of my last inspections. Chain is getting super stretched and getting flat spots. So I ordered new sprockets and a chain to match. Black on black.

Hey man, sucks that you had a hit and run. But count your blessings that you are ok.
Also, look on the bright side. Since you have a street fighter, you don't have to worry about replacing fairings. :-)

Yeah but the custom blue powdercoated frame is ruined! haha You can't just fill it in like a scratch in paint. And to redo the frame you have to completely tear it back down. Maybe later or during the winter when I have a garage.

Had to tear into it yesterday. While riding after work, hit a rut in the cross road and lost all throttle response. Pulled off and could not figure out what happened. When I would shut off my bike and get off it, I had full throttle engagement. Sprung back and had no problems. Get back on the bike, and turn the bars straight, and lost everything. I could ride off and then boom, lost all throttle response again.

Finally realized what had happened. Deep inside the bike by the throttle bodies is a bracket that holds the throttle cable casing. It had come loose and when the bars were turned to the left, it was pinched and gave me all control. But turn the bars and it got loose and had no tension.

But it gave me a good chance to clean everything up and check the plugs and all the wires and such.

Rode it today and it was gorgeous out. Picked up a new blue/black Scorpion Evo helmet to match and also a new magnetic tank bag. Never did have enough room to carry stuff sometimes in the trunk so this is nice to toss in a drink or extra little stuff to carry.

Non Slip, Scratch Resistant backing with super strong magnets. Takes both hands to pull this thing off.

New chain, and the front/rear sprocket kit showed up. Been waiting on the rivet tool, but it never came, so I found someone in the local club who let me borrow theirs. Should be done tomorrow, as well as front/rear brake pad change if they arrive in the mail.

Did a little (very rough) sketch of what I would LIKE to do with the exhaust, to bring it up more along the tail. M4 makes a high rise mid pipe that would work I believe.

Going to tear into it again to do the CCT, since I need to get back to the throttle cable to adjust it again.

And arriving soon in the mail should be a box full of goodies thanks to a fellow member of CBRF. To include a set of blue shorty levers, some frame sliders, and black rear pegs and heel guards. I plan to take all the silver on the bike (except the forks) and paint it black.

I loved my Scorpion lid. I don't like that they discontinued the EXO 700...

Scorpion has and always will be my favorite. They just fit me the best and are the most comfortable that I have found. I also like the quick disconnect and visor swap options available.

It's just a bonus that the blue matches my frame almost perfectly!

I agree, it's the best helmet I've had to date.

Time for a much needed update.

So the bad luck continued with the bike as a Dodge Ram backed over it in the dorm parking lot. Took forever for insurance to do anything and I ended up with nothing but a rebuilt title for the bike and I had to foot the bill for repairs. Those have just now started.

Started the tear down and real inspection to start the ever growing parts list.

First off, it gives me great pleasure to announce that the Reaper is going Full Fairing.

Fresh paint on the triples (which I need to find another 954rr top triple... This one doesn't have the ignition slot like usual? But it came from the 954rr that I did the swap from...)

Rearsets were all tweaked. I think I found another set of non bent ones. If not, I will space them out a bit to clear the chain and swingarm. I can't bend them back without breaking them.

The rest of the list includes a new headlight assembly, new 50mm Vortec clip ons, new Moose Racing clutch lever and perch, new clutch cable. Stator cover, clutch cover, and all the fixings to go with the new fairings (intake tubes, bolts, etc).

And onto the fun stuff, 03 RR swingarm and tail swap...
