Default shortened pipe?

sup every1 i was at the dealer getting some new buttons for that front Vfairing bc they came loose from some strange reason and the dealer had a pretty nice f4i that he had just shortened the pipe about six inches or so, he showed me the other half of the ehaust pipe and all that, even offered to do it for a price i wont even bother mentioning, after just telling me how to do,does this post exist already? is there a particular name for that kind of pipe and does it effect performance of the pipe etc. i havent searched all recent post entirely, but just tryin to get feedbeck on that one, also i wanted to acknowledge the fact that i bit the name of previous members and all that (02f4iguy), sucs i used the same idea, it was jus firs thing that came to mind when i set up the accnt, so yeah, just wanted to say thnx for all the help and tips and everything, it sure is great to be able to gride on days like today and live to tell about it.

yeah i just cut my m4 down about 6 inchs but didn't like the sound, so i made a baffle and inserted it inside the pipe and now it sounds really good.it's not even as loud as it was before i cut it down, witch is good because on the highway it had kind of a drone sound that got old after a few miles.

they call it a "shortie" pipe, mostly stunters do it so their pipe dosent hit the ground when 12' the bike and cause them to wreck

yeah ok,cool but does shorties effect the bbike in any way? is it an improvement or jus stuntin material that doesnt do much good or will harm? i mean i like the look, so im just torn on whether to perform surgery on my leovince carbon fiber exhaust, will it sound throatier than the pipe already souns?

I did this to mine because I liked the look of the shorter pipe. It was cut down to half it's size. It was a 2 Brothers CF high mount. CBR_racin123 here on the forum did it for me. You could always PM him for more details, but it hasn't affected the performance of my bike at all. It definately made it a bit louder and deeper and I absoultely love it. Sorry, I don't have pics of the new exhaust yet, but should by next weekend. Good luck!
