shortened the pipe

Talking shortened the pipe

finally got round to shortening the pipe after getting a ribbin
wasn't as difficult as i was expecting tools needed were a grinder, measuring tape,silicone,5 mm drill bit,pop rivit gun and rivets and a helpful friend (step up rayo )

im delighted with the results

a little over a third of the pipe id say forgot to upload the picture i'll do it when i get the chance
when i removed the end cap first it was siliconed on as well as rivited on i suppose it was to stop vibrations

Looks good. Now if only I could get the nerve to cut down my pipe but I don't want to screw up a $1,200.00 system lol.

yeah took me a while to pluck up the courage myself but the more i looked at it the uglyer it looked it took from the overall look,something needed to be done i had decided if it didn't work i'd be getting a different pipe anyway
check out the forums someone with your system might have done it already
most exhausts are fabricated the same. youtube have a few videos up on how to do it the only thing is from what i've heard its much less work cutting from the end cap side rather than from the bolt on side which could be troublesome. maybe you could buy a dented up one cheap from a scrappage firm or fleabay and do a trial run.
