RPM Range
Does somebody have the specs for the stock RPM range? I just bought a 2002 F4I and it was advertised as having Vortex 520 gearing. I'm not sure what that means exactly, but when I shift from 5th to 6th the RPMs don't change much.
What advantage does the 520 gearing offer?
How many RPMs should I be running at 50 MPH in 6th gear? Right now I am at about 4k.
I need a new chain and sprockets (bought it with 15k miles) and I am thinking about going back to stock because I mostly use it as a commuter.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

the 520 is just lighter, gearing is the sprockets. If the sprockets went down teeth in the front, it would change your rpms. My rpms are in 4th 40mph 4k on the tach. its the only real one i remember. But going 50 and shifting from 5 to 6 wont drop it but a grand or two anyways. I have the stock gearing gold RK 525 chain and sprockets and i love it. and its an everyday commuter(only vehicle)

That site tells you what speed during what rpm range.
A 520 chain is just a narrower chain that makes for less rotating mass which really only comes in handy when trying to shave time off at the track.
A 520 chain will wear faster then the OEM chain (525) as it isn't as strong for the long run.
