Default Vibrations in the rev range

Hi, I'm new here but have owned my CBR600F4 for just over a year now. Generally its been a really great bike, I've spent time servicing/adding parts myself and can say that Honda's are great to work on!

I've come across an issue I haven't been able to fix and was hoping someone here would have advice.

Basically the engine vibes within the 5-6k rev range (More specifically 5.4 - 6k). It's 100% the engine causing this (I've tried many different things to check it isn't wheel/steering balance).

Could this be carb balance? A loose engine mount? I don't want to invest time/money into a fix before getting some advice. Any help is appreciated

Thanks, Tom.

Hi,
Here my experience...
I had the same issue on my CBR600 Hurricane. Increasing the revs increases the handle vibrations - verry unpleasant on long way (ur hands "buzzing" even when U stop for a brake). It turns out that the previous owner had removed the bar ends on the handles to put new grips. I purchased a verry heavy bar ends from ebay (9oz each I think) and vibrations gone. The bar ends sometimes are called anti-vibration bars.

Regards!

Just about every sportbike I've owned has done this. I've found the heavy bar ends like mentioned to help as well as gel grips and gel palm gloves.

I replaced my OEM bar ends with lighter fancy ones...lots of vibration at 6-7500rpm. They were 5.5 oz. the OE ones weighed 10oz. Popped them back on and all was well again! Hope this helps.
