Default Removing tank decals

Just wondering what everyone has tried to remove their tank decals. I thought of wet sanding just through the clear then peeling them off as I do not want to take the tank down to the bare metal....

Thanks in advance!

I am thinking a hair dryer might be the best. Heat up the decal to loosen the glue...

not sure you can without removing the clear coat. on my 99 all the decals are just stuck on on my front, side and tail. I had a friend who did their bike look at it and told me there is no way to take out the decals on the tank unless you're going to repaint it because the decals on the tank are clear coated in unlike the rest.
