Default Reg/rect ot stator?

So I've had this cbr600 f4i for around 2k miles and this started happening, mind it has 9k now and its a 05. When starting it turns over once very slow then about 2 seconds intervals for about 10 seconds then speeds up ever so slowly to just barely start. The batt. Was replaced last year so I'm thinking either stator or r/r. What do you think?

Sounds like a weak battery, too much starter draw, or resistance in the battery cables. Put a voltmeter on the system and see what its doing, voltage wise.

i would start by testing the battery and go from there. Try hooking your bike up to your car battery to jump start it. if that cures the symptoms, then you need a new battery.

I'm in the weak battery camp. The r/r is wired in parrallel to the battery.
It is responsible for sending current to the battery to charge it, but doesn't impact
actual delivery of current to the electrical systems.

Check the physical connections to the battery. Pull the cables and be sure that
there is no corrosion impeding the connection, on either the posts or the clamps.

Inspect the other end of each cable to be sure that the physical ground and positive
connection are electrically secure. Replace the main (30amp) fuse, in case it is itself
marginal.

If you do use jumper cables to test/check, do not run the vehicle you are jumping
from. I have heard it can over-load the system and cause actual, physical damage
to the harness/components.

Hope this helps, Ern

All the connections are clean, The batt is great, carge it overnight and it starts strong for 4-5 days then back to slow-starts. I think the batt is ok, and it starts every time still just does this slow Im-warming-up thing

Did you have the battery load tested?
Did you check the charging voltage?

Your last comments change the focus. It may be the r/r is not delivering current to
maintain the battery's charge. Check out these links and run the diagnostics.
That should give you a definitive answer...
