I tried to get it as spot on as possible. I used a set of spring calipers to get the distance center to center of both bolts then transferred the measurement to a ruler and it fell exactly on 2-7/8.

75mm is close but more of a rough estimate in my opinion. 2-7/8 inch translates approximately to 73.025 mm.

What is the spacing on the zx?

You should be able to get away with drilling out the holes on a F4i rearset to match up with the zx7 if you’re talking about a difference of approx 2mm. Just drill a little out of each hole and continuously test fitting it and you should be left with more than enough material to keep them structurally sound.
