Default Re: mystery plug

On the wiring harness that plugs into my ECU, there is an extra plug that I can't figure out where it goes. It doesn't seem to connect anywhere into the ECU. I noticed it yesterday when I was swapping out my battery. Not sure if this plug was connected to something and it got disconnected or I just never noticed it before. Anyone know what I am referring to? It's a small squarish looking plug and was thinking maybe it's used when connecting a Power Commander but this is just a wild guess. The F4i is a new bike for me so not sure what I am looking at here. Any help? Thanks.

Just as a clarification, it's not a plug per se, really just a connector. Thanks.

Its a diagonistic plug. You short it with a paper clip then you read the FI light on the dash for the number of blinks which corresponds to a trouble code.
