Keep your chain cleaned and lubed.

Keep your tires properly inflated and make sure they have decent tread and aren't old and dried out.

Other than that, stay aware and enjoy yourself. You won't melt, and neither will your bike.

Thank you everyone for the replies. I have the weatherproof jacket covered. Riding pants are next, along with boots. Most things mentioned I have covered already, so that is a plus.

Have had some pretty nasty rains here already this summer and am not seeing any issues with the electrical components. Another plus.

Again, thanks everyone.

I too have ridden through monsoon storms on my f4i, hell Im pretty sure at one flooded intersection of the freeway my bike became a submarine, there was water everywhere. But hondas are the only jap bike out there without weatherproof connectors. GM has had them in their cars since the late 70's yet honda hasen't seen fit to put them on the bikes. I get it, it saves money and a little bit of weight and on sportbikes that means alot. But it still means its not as good an idea to ride them in the rain compared to other brands. Its an easy fix, and for someone with as insane a need for perfection on their motor vehicles as me its a no brainer. Just pull the connections, stuff em full of electrical grease and plug em back in. [maybe] problem solved.

Amazing how there are more old Hondas still on the road today than any other motorcycle. ;-)
