Question Quick Chain Question

Like the title says -

Are chains universal?

I'd like to assume such, but we all know what assuming does.

I'm looking to upgrade (rather, fix), my sprockets and chain, since they are both pretty worn out (520 conversion can suck sometimes, haha)

But anyway, will I be able to use any chain that has "520" in the title? Or do I have to go on a website/a local shop and have them get it for the specific bike?

Let me know, thanks in advance.

Kyle

You will want to use an o-ring or x-ring chain, but as long as your chain and sprocket pitch matches up(520, 525...) you will be okay.

This. Just really watch out and make sure it's o/x-ring, I almost got tripped up by some chains that weren't when shopping.
