Ok so Im working on the bike and when I put my kickstand up it goes up againts the chain?! Never did this before and just noticed this. The kickstand seems not to extend out all the way either so the bike can lean on it, what's up with that? Do I have to adjust it some how?

 

Is the mounting bracket loose or missing a bolt?

it shouldn't do that, so it's either the chain is WAY too loose, or like the others have said, something must be wrong with the bracket, or your kickstand is bent.

It's weird like if I grab my kickstand I can move it back and forth while its up or down...but yea ill try and put some pics up when I get a chance thanks guys

 

kind of sounds like the mount - either where the kickstand mounts to the engine mount thing (i still don't know what that's called) or where the actual kickstand bolts up to the kickstand mount... if that bolt that holds the kickstand onto the kickstand mount is really loose, i guess i could see the spring pulling it up further into the chain. still though, pics would help.
