I've got the usual mods done to my bike (flushmounts, slip-on, integrated tail light, chopped rear fender). Am I going to have a problem passing inspection? My main concern is if the flushmounts will pass or not. If it makes a difference I live in New York. Thanks for any input

 

what inspection do you speak of? i never had any inspection to pass on my bike in washington. is this a new york thing?

 

I'm pretty sure I have to get my bike inspected every year just like a car but I could be wrong. I just got my bike this past summer and I put flushmounts on it so I was worried about it passing inspection or not because of the signals.

 

i used to live in maine and we did have to have the yearly inspection stickers, even on our bikes. the best thing i can tell you to do is to call an inspection station or a local dealer. if your gonna have a problem with it passing you can do what we did.....go to some rinky dink mechanic that can do the inspection, pay him like double what it costs and he'll give ya the sticker no matter what.

 

Hey 05f4i16, yeah I live in NY too. To be honest I am not to sure about the flushmounts, that is why I am worried about throwing a set on my bike. But yes NY, we have yearly inspections on all of our vehcles, it is kinda a pain in the butt. But let us know what you find out when you go for your inspection, I want to know what they say about them. (This is the same reason I am holding on an undertail/fender kit, because NY is very picky about what they allow us to add and remove on our vehicles, so I need to find one that I think will pass.)

 

My dad's works at a body repair shop and knows a lot of mechanics so I may have someone he knows do it but when I go to have it done I'll be sure to post up a reply. Thanks for all the input
