Default scotts damper

I am seriously considering buying a scotts damper, but after going to their web site i noticed you can buy the damper pre attached to a scotts triple clamp. And the kit isnt that much more really than the damper itself. I added a picture so ya'll can see what im talking about. but do you think this is a better deal to buy it this way or does the triple clamp add any real performance. the damper kit is $400 bucks, and the triple clamp included is only $550 bucks, so its not to bad. Opinions anyone? or if anyone already has this set-up how hard would it be to install the triple clamp? thanks guys

It depends, how hard is it to remove the Scotts damper from the triple clamp? The regular Scott's damper is removable, meaning you can use the same damper on multiple bikes. Can you still do that if you buy it attached to a Scott's triple clamp?

Otherwise, I think I like the way the stock 3-clamp looks compared to the Scotts.

you won't notice the difference in performance. i say save the money...regardless of how good the deal is...if you don't need it but buy it anyway, it's never a deal, because you wasted your money mang!

just get the damper and go hardcore...but unless you hitting the track the F4i doesn't need it.

yea mang...check the postings and stuff...ebay too...i'll check the other board i'm on...
basically...the damper is same but the mount different for each bike...so if you get a new ride, you can still use the same damper! that's why i went with scott...

Does a damper really do much for people who use the bike strictly for street use?
