question about cctl.

question about cctl.
I noticed that there are some end numbers that are different at the end of the part number of these oem parts. How do I find out which one I need. There is like J22's, J23's. Is that like the different motors code or something? Got around 12,000 miles on my 2001 and have a rattle around 4000-5000. Think I need to replace my cctl.

RE: question about cctl.
The later number is the "revised" part that really wasn't "revised".
They will both rattle after a couple thousand miles.
You will need to either take yours out and flare the pin or buy a APE manual CCT. My vote goes to the APE because there is no way you can have problems with the CCT later.

don't forget to get the end washer that goes at the rear of the stock cctl and a new gasket for either APE or stocker.
as far as j22 or j23, even if you order a j22, you'll get a j23 because there's no more j22s around...and if you end up with a 22, you better be getting an awesome deal off it! like free!
