quick cctl question
I know how to change it changed.it last year with a oem one but the rattle is back i wana put a manual one in. Only question is how do i set it to.the right length so i know the cam chain is tight thanks
Installing an APE manual tensioner:
1-Remove your old CCT
2-Install your new one.
3-Just finger tighten the tension bolt a bit until you feel it make contact with the cam chain
4-Start the bike and if it rattles then snug it up a bit more until the rattle stops and then once it stops back out 1/4 turn and tighten the lock nut. If when you start the bike it makes a grinding noise or different type of chatter then you have it too tight and need to back out. Once again once you get it to stop then back out 1/4 turn and snug up the locknut. Rev the bike up a bit and listen for any noise. If there is any noise adjust accordingly. Once you have no noise then you are done.
