55w kits tend to wash out some of the color of the HID bulb due to the light output( for example, a 55w 8000k will look similar in color to a 35w 6000k kit).
55w Kits are not recommended for smaller fog light housings because they tend to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area.
and 55w may fry your wiring. They work the bulb harder / put out more heat which could shorten life span.
All in all you can't really tell the difference. 35w's work great. So not worth the potential problems of 55w.

The 55W system ballasts are larger than the 35W ballasts - not by a HUGE amount but a bigger difference with out limited space.

I figured that had something to do with it. well. I'm glad I can already buy parts for a bike I haven't even gotten the keys to yet, but I'm optimistic and everything should be taken care of tomorrow. I'm gonna be a happy camper with HID's in the bike and car! can u say double pics! lol
