I guess I've been thinking about the reserve bars wrong also. I was always wondering the same thing, I've had all four bars flashing and never put in more than 4 gallons, where did that .9 gallons go.

As far as gas milage: I've never gotten better than 35mpg. I don't know how you guys get +50mpg. Either my bike is f*%k up or you guys accelerate slooooowwwwwwww and keep the RPM's under 7K. I do alot of city driving, with alot of stop and goes, which aren't helping, but even when I go on long rides I don't get better than 35mpg. I don't bitch though, its still twice as good as my 4Runner.

All right, I think someone needs to volunteer to run their bike dry and see how many miles they get after no bars are left on the guage. I mean, you'll probably getcalled adumbass and might have to hitchhike home, but think of it as a public service for your fellow CBR riders.

I second the motion that someone should run'er'dry. I ALMOST did it on my last tank when I was coming home yesterday. I figured if I ran out of gas I wouldn't be too far from home and so my wife could bring me some gas. She would have been kinda mad though haha. Good thing I didn't though because she was in Yoga at the time and wouldn't have answered her phone for a while and I would have been stranded lol.

Hey Spike, I weigh only 145 lbs and I was on a almost perfect straight road and the most perfect weather, no wind resistance at all. I filled my tank before I left and I reset my mileage and filled it when I got to my destination, and I only used one gallon of gas. Figured distance equals rate times time.I couldn't believe it either. But also riding at lower rpms makes a big difference. When riding in town, I ride around at 9 and 10 K's and I only get like 25 mpg. Small price to pay but still better than my expedition.
