Default PCIII question

What are the excact differences between a PCIII and PCIII USB? Can you put maps on the PCIII While its off the bike? Any other information you would like to add feel welcome

The pc usb is "usb" and the older version uses a seral cable. The usb version has an add on battery attachment so you can add maps while not connected to power on the bike...not sure if the non usb version can do that though.

dont think it can.. i got the serial cable one and I dont think it can do that.

It looks like a monitor cable on the end of it. Its not and autodetect connection so you would have to attach it to a computer...then the PC...then boot up your laptop. Make sure the PC III software is installed with the drivers so it will recognize the device on startup.
