I was considering getting a power commander for my 07 cbr1000rr, and i was wondering if The PCIII will shorten the engines long term life... Is there anything that will wear out faster with the power commander?

I am getting a full yosh RS-5 exhaust along with that.

If it's properly tuned you'll be fine. Too lean and "kaboom"! Finding an experienced tuner is the most critical part.

Install it, keep up on your maintenance and ride on!

 

is the install of the PCIII easy? i',m not the best when it comes to electronics... But i would like the most hp available without sacraficing reliability.

 

biggest thing to remember is connect the injector leads to the lower band of injectors, they are buried behind a dust type thin rubber cover. other than that is is about an hour job.

and if your looking for the most HP don't buy a Yos system. buy a good power system. Sato, Arata, Akropovic in that order for best power. anything else is pretty much just noise. there is a guy selling a full Arata system on the other 1000RR site right now. you also would do well with Arrow or Leo Vince from what i hear.
