How hot does it get?

Next step is to make sure the thermostat is opening properly and the cap holds pressure.

Its located in the housing near the throttle bodies.

To see if its working in the bike, start the engine from cold. The lower hose wil gradually heat up, while the upper hose should be cooler. When it reaches temperature, the upper hose will quickly get as hot as the lower hose.

Or, you can take it out and put it in a pot of boiling water. When it gets hot, you will see it open or not.
