bike: 2001 f4i
klms- 69000,around 45000 miles
problems - fuel pressure reg, normal wear and tear components, had a broken wire in a coil plug that caused it to break down, laid it out about a year ago at 65 clicks, cosmetic damage only, replaced the fairings and snapped a chain 2 weeks later at 150 clicks and blew the tail of the bike apart. havent had any ctt problems guessing previous owner had it replaced. i love the thing i can cain it all day and it loves it.

I'll chime in with my old F4i
Year: 2001
Milage: ~18000
Problems: Left me stranded 3 times. Finally figured out it was due to the headlight subharness that plugs into the main harness by the left air intake. The harness would come apart ever so slightly and kill the fuel pump. Zip tied that together and ran great ever since. Also towards the end of when I owned it the cluster would randomly reset itself on a ride. It would go off for a split second then do the start up sweep then reregister me speed, rpm, etc. It never reset the clock or trip. Never did figure out what that was. It only happened 2 or 3 times though. Other than that it ran great, even after I laid it down at about 30 mph and broke the stator cover and misc. stuff.

This thread is awesome! I've always wanted to know about how much more I can expect to get out of my baby. Looks like so long as I keep the wheels facing down, I should be good to go for some time to come!
2001 F4i
28,000 miles
no problems so far... just things vibrating loose from time to time... normal stuff... a screw here a battery cable tightening there... and I've laid it down twice...once around 15-20 mph nailed a curb from not leaning it enough...dented the rim... blew the tire...the other time 25-30 mph doing wheelies...dropped my fairings and that's when it became a streetfighter... lol. It'll have it's clothes back on again next spring...
I love this bike... I'm glad I went with Honda reliability when it comes to their engine technology...very robust...VERY

Great thread! This is my first bike and only had it for a few months and put on around 1500 miles.
2002 F4i
29800 miles roughly (think the sprockets were changed by PO, speedo is off about 20mph)
Nothing major so far. Replaced Rectifier/Regulator recently after it died on me, fork seals repaired, blinkers, taillight LED's and battery. Starting to get a little ticking so possibly CCTL this spring with some new tires. Previous owner said it was laid down in a garage but there is slight rash on both sides of the bike so not 100% sure it was only laid down once. Other than that it's great, love this thing and can't wait for the spring to get back out on it!
