Older Mileage F4i's Come In Side
FYI IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT A MEMBERS BIKE PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PM THEM OR IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PM MYSELF.
I figured this would be a great add on post to the FAQ center.
The main question a lot of members want to know if you had problems at all when your bike reached into higher mileage. Now what is a higher mileage? This could be any were from 20-30k and above. Personally I would say 50k but well roll with what people want to post.
Lets keep this clean or I will get a mod to delete any post that I feel that are necessary. Keep the same format as I have posted:
Bike:2002 F4i
Mileage:22,000
Problems: So far no problems. It has been in one lay down at 20mph. Still run's like a champ.

Milage: 26500
Problems: Manual CCTL came loose besides that nothing other then normal wear stuff chain sprocket tires ect. Knocked over in parking lot broke stator cover.
Did I do this right?

Bike: 2001 CBR 600 F4i
Milage: 35,000
Problems:After initial start-up and bike is about running temp, idle is around 800 for a few minutes then back to norm.CCTL replaced with APE Manual. no other problems

Problems: Nothing major so far...due to have the valves spec'd though
As far as cosmetic issues, there is a dent in the tank, some scratches on the right side fairing from being knocked over, and some small cracks in the plastics (upper and tail fairings).
i don't consider it super high mileage or anything considering the age of it. i know there are some F4i's rolling around 200,000 miles and still run strong

Problems: Replaced CCTL with APE. Replaced Chain,front rear sprockets, tires, breaks, fuel pressure regulator, vacuum hoses, Bulbs. Nothing out of the ordinary. Runs like new

Problems
ut about 10k this season and never one problem just reg maintenance,I was so impressed by this bike that my next bike will be a f4i ,and the fact that my bike was an ex stunt bike and took a beating and still ran like a champ!!!!

Layed down first month 3mph- replaced rear view mirror
Layed down 2yrs later about 5mph- replaced rear view mirrow
Asshat in minivan puts me down a month later at 0 mph- another rear view mirror
Knocked over in parents driveway by moms car- stator cover [but no rearview, yay!!]

Its never not run, its never broke down. Its a tank and it carves the trackdays with precision.
