OEM CCT,down the drain,plz help

Default OEM CCT,down the drain,plz help

i just bought an oem cct to replace the one thats making noise on my bike,04 f4i. like a dumbass, i pulled the little key type thing on the top of the actual CCT, and the shaft that puts tension on wat ever it puts tension on, is extened out and i can push it back in.. now i know that i was supose to pull the key once its in the bike. anyone else do this?? is there anyway of getting this shaft back in,or am i **** out of luck and now have to buy another one?? please help

i cant believe you did that! what a waste or a perfectly good cct! might as well toss that one in the garbage and order a new one. actually you should probably order a bunch in case you mess those up too! what a squid!!








haha jk. take a deep breath and relax. all you have to do is take a tiny flathead screwdriver, put it down the hole the key went in, and turn clockwise. the shaft will retract! whaddya know! fully retract it, hold the tip, pull the screwdriver out, and put the key back in. dont worry, i did the same thing when i got mine. "OOOHHHH, this looks COOL............uh oh, i probably shouldnt of pulled that out yet......."
