Question O2 sensor port issue...

I took my bike out for a ride this evening at the beginning of which I thought my bike was a bit louder than normal. After I got to a destination I noticed the plug was missing. Does anyone know if running my bike without the plug will hurt it? I would only ride it until it either gets parked for winter or until I can get the pipe fixed if needed...

Not exactly...not being a California bike (to my understanding at least) it never had an o2 sensor to my knowledge. In my mid pipe there looked to be a bolt plugging a hole. I haven't pulled the fairing off to look yet to see if the hole port is gone...or if the bolt just came out.

oohhh cali bike so the exhaust has a hole for a rear o2 sensor and the plug that went in there is missing? yeah thats fine it wont cause any problems. Find something at a hardware store or order a new plug or just get a new midpipe if it bothers you that much. Leaving it the way it is wont really cause any problems. If your fi light or anything comes on the most youll have to do is buy the dynojet o2 sensor eliminator for $20
