Default Non adjustable suspension - 2006 cbr600f4

Hi folks, I'm looking at a 2006 with the later non adjustable suspension. Other than being non adjustable is it of inferior quality? As its 12 years old I'm budgeting for a refresh of both forks and shock, however I'm wondering if I needed to budget for aftermarket items as well?

F4 wasn't made in 06 only F4i and they all have adjustable suspension so I'm not sure what your talking about but generally speaking non adjustable is total cheap crap and not worth the time rebuilding. Find oem adjustable's, put them on, adjust for your weight and style, and behold glorious riding improvments.

Hey, he is right. OP is from the other side of the pond
The CBR600f4i in the US has always been known as the CBR600F4 in the UK. The 1999-2000 were called CBR600FX and FY.
Also the 2006 cbr600f4i came with non adjustable forks-I think also in the USA? This was to differentiate it more from the RR I think.
@Mackempete- Mate plenty of cbr600f4i forks available on ebay. Throw in £100 of Ohlins springs and you should be good. If you want to get aftermarket pistons/valves etc then sky is the limit and you'd soon be spending what the bike is worth

O. I. C. haha
We only got the "sport" model F4i here in the states, even when getting the single seat from 04-06 it was still all sport model with adjustable suspension and no center stand. I do highly recommend upgraded rebound valves if you go heavier springs up front, the stock adjusters can't deal with the added energy rebounding from heavier springs very well.
