Default New Member with a few questions

I just bought an 01 f4i as my first bike. Ive always been into cars, motorcycles, engines, and working on them etc. so im not completely new to them but I have a few questions in terms of part fitments.

I got the bike for a very good deal but there were obviously a few things wrong with it.

There was no backseat and im trying to find a cover for it instead of a seat but the only ones I can find are for 600rr's. Will an 03 rr seat cowl fit my 01 f4i? and will 03 600rr fairings fit since they seem to be more abundant than f4i fairings.

Also the headlights have some scratches in them has anyone tried to wet sand the scratches out of their headlights with any success? or wet sand then clear coat it?

Yeah, the wet sanding thing actually works pretty well on plastic. There was a lens restorer kit at the parts store for like $2 on sale and I decided to try and restore my stock clear windscreen with it. It took a little work, but I was amazed.
I was gonna do a how-to, but my camera decided to erase the pics.
The kit I got had wet sanding pads in like 6 different grits from 1800 to 8000.

Welcome to the forum, by the way.

yeah ive done it before on car headlight lenses then just sprayed it with some clear and it came out reasonably well. Ill head down to autozone or somewhere tomorrow and look into one of those lens repair kits though. Thanks for the hospitality...maybe ill do the how-to thread for you.
