New Fairings?? a little help?
sure thing Dragondima! ill put some pics up as i go and give some detail as to what im doing. this is my first project so im going to look at how it is stock and put it as close as possible.
Nice bike. May I ask how much you got it for, with how many miles? With the cage, 12 bar, cracked upper fairing, and scratches, I hope it wasn't beat up too too bad. Fairings are expensive, so I just decided to paint mines (mines was yellow/black as well). It looks like that micron was cut. I'm sure it sounds nice. Looking forward to seeing your build.
BTW, if you want to sell your 12 bar, and/or cage, let me know. I'd like to work out a deal.

Well sorry to all i wasn't on here very much and i finally got a few days off work!
but it is finished!!!! my project bike is almost complete. it took almost 10 hours, 2 garbage bags of packing foam and even broke a hex nut removing it
.
i will go step by step as best as i can with my pictures i couldnt get everything but ill try to answer any questions!!.
The package came in 12 days from ABS Fairings and it came very well packaged and neat.

The side fairings looked great! and had a lot more heat shield then i thought they would so i was very happy

Every piece in the fairing kit they sent me unwrapped

The first step in removing my old fairings was the cage... it had to go but the previous owner welded it shut
so with a little elbow grease and a bench grinder it came off. also in the picture is my friend justin who helped me out a lot on my bike!

With the cage finally off we set to work on removing the old fairings which was difficult at times, the front fender sucked!! lol

Next is a pic of the whole front end the wiring was a mess and i patched it and taped it up nice before i put the headlight back.

another pic of her backside naked before the rains came and we had to stop.

Finally a better picture of what she looked like up front before we put her back together.

well after all that is said and done we put the new fairings back on and a few days later i scrubbed the wheels and put my finishing touches on my new F4i and here she is i dubbed her the name KD Wasp
and thats me sitting on my bike too lol

any questions let me hear em and if not thanks to everyone who helped me with my bike

That's a sweet bike you have there. It looks great. I was looking at your front turn signals and may I suggest getting the hotbodies flush mounts instead? I paid $40 and they look great and are pretty bright. IMO
thanks kaz! and i will look into them because i really dont like the bulbs either lol. i also would love a new undertail the one i have is two little circle LEDs it just doesnt look right.
