Both my Neutral light and kickstand are temperamental. To start, the N light only works at times, blinking in and out or not even lighting up at all when in Neutral. Second, while in neutral MOST of the time the bike will turn off if the kick stand gets put down. But some times it works properly.

Any ideas? I have an 01 f4i

this used to happen to me but only when the bike was hot.
i changed out the neutral sensor/switch and now it all works fine.

I have the same problem with my F3. Wonder if its the same part number? I bet it is - the switches on my GF's 929 look the same as the ones on my F3.
