Need some help, bike keeps stalling.
Here is what happened. Was idling high at cold idle, so I adjusted the **** to the left, and I think I overdid it.
So once the bike warmed up, it would not stay running. So today I try to adjust it the other way, and the adjust comes out. Spring and washer fall off the bike to the ground. So I have the adjuster, I put the spring on the end of it, and put the washer in. Then I screwed it back into place.
I have my gas tank off so I haven't been able to start the bike yet. I was thinking about changing plugs and stuff. But could this cause the bike to stall and not hold idle? When I tighten it all the way, it doesn't move anything mechanically. Threaded all the way in, or loose, it's all the same, so how does this effect idle? I want to have this totally figured out before I put everything back together. Thanks.

RE: Need some help, bike keeps stalling.
counterclockwise = less idle
clockwise = more idle
cold idle? do u mean while it automaticly warms up?
the normal idle should be at 1400 +-100 after 15minutes of riding
I got pissed w/ the lil **** also, mine is pretty hard to twist and the only way you can be sure is when the bike is on while you twist the ****
sparkplugs has nothing to do w/ ur idle
its just to fire up ur engine
