I can't imagine needing more power or acceleration than my 600 throws out! And it's bone stock except for the Two Brothers pipe!

You can, but you can only bore so much before the engine becomes structurally unsound. Its also VERY expensive, as its is very much precision work - better off upgrading to a bigger bike in this case.

For the cost of new sprockets and chain when you didn't already need one, exhaust, PCIII w/ tuning and an air filter your fairly close to the difference between a 600 and 1000 price wise. If you get into things like HRC kits and engine work your well above that price.

Pointless. Insurance is more expensive. You lose money selling the current bike and buying a new one, regardless of the price difference of the parts. Bikes are different - what if he doesn't like the way it rides? It isn't all about having a bike with more power, it's about having a ride YOU enjoy.

I hate people who give advice like this. Sheesh.
