Hello all, its been forever since i've been on this forum, my f4i had to take a backseat to my other projects, and its been sitting ever since. Feel free to lead me in the right direction if i'm on the wrong forum page.

Heres the deal, I re painted the bike back in may of last year, but was hurried because of the shop I was using so it turned out like s**t.

Mightve been really nice with the paint mix I used (1/2 gloss black 1/2 candy apple red mid-coat.) Gave it a milky background in the sunlight, had not seen anything like it. The prep job was terrible though.

Anyhow, I'm planning on painting it again so I can get some use out of it this summer instead of sitting around. I'm just going to sand it smooth, and spray can primer and paint. What are your guys thoughts on a flat color spray can, if I can find one that isn't black. Maybe a flat red? I've looked all over the internet but can't find much info.

IMO, Flat black can look good. Flat any other color looks terrible, like a crack head home job.

If you want to try, go for it. Worst thing that can happen is you need to repaint it.

 

I actually am a fan of flat black, I just don't want to be like everyone else. lol

If I can find a color I like i'll try it, and spray some flat clear cloat over it also. It just seems like the color I have in my mind I can't find anywhere.
